The Blue Springs Parks and Recreation Department will use the month of July to celebrate the start of summer programming, as well as a time to bring citizens together to volunteer, get involved in great outdoor physical activities and advocate for parks and recreation.

Research shows that 75% of Americans live within two miles of a public park or recreation facility. Right here in Blue Springs, citizens are provided the opportunity to frequent nineteen public parks which offer a number of family-focused leisure activities from Music in the Park concerts, to Mighty Mud Volleyball in Hidden Valley Park.

Bicycling : When you ask many adults when the last time they rode a bike is, they cannot answer. Although bicycling is a favorite pastime, many adults do not take advantage of this great option for exercise. Not only does bike riding exercise the body and build a stronger cardiovascular system, it allows you to get out and enjoy nature, fresh air, and see new sites.
